Greta Bell

I began making paintings over 10 years ago after a trip to my friends grandmothers house, Mary Sears in Franklin , N.C..  I saw Mary’s joy expressed all over her home, she painted on rugs,  ironing boards, even doors. She gave me a paintbrush and some paints and I was set free to paint the world as I see it. Paint I did!, until every wall in my own home was filled. My very first show was in Bristol, Vermont at the Walkover Gallery.  I started with house paints and grew into oils. Now I am exploring printmaking and marionette building.

I  live in the Fox Valley of Northern Illinois with my wonderful family.
